Desperate Clingers

I will tell you about the types of patients that I regularly see.
I am not naming names so please don't ask me, I have an oath of confidentiality you see.

One of these is called a Desperate Clinger (DC)
One of these patients is Mrs Rees (for argument's sake) and she always complains of the same thing over and over.
"Doctor I have a headache. I have had it for a few years"

Me Thinking: So what?

"It's throbbing today."

Me Thinking: So what?

"So what have you tried for it?"

"And so what about the headache, doctor?"

Fuck's sake. There are some patients who make one angry, unfortunately this visceral emotion is not one that is easily controlled. Mrs Rees pisses me off.
I don't care what anybody thinks, I am a human and this lady is not treatable. She uses the surgery as an alternative for a social life. If we are the best she can do - God help us all (not that I believe in God).
